MAXICAT
DESCRIPTION OF THE EXCURSION
MAXICAT left the shipyards in La Rochelle (France) in early 2000. The engine does not expel any pollution, its combustion system has the lowest pollution levels requested by the C.E. The sound of the 2 engines is minimal since they are in soundproof compartments (which minimizes the inconvenience caused to underwater life and increases the comfort of the passengers). And it also has a “draft” of only 1.50 meters which facilitates gliding and stability on the water, avoiding severe seasickness. MAXICAT has a capacity of 104 passengers and 6 crew members. It has 2 life rafts that inflate automatically in an emergency. These are located in the stern (back) of the sailboat, each one has capacity for 75 people and contains food rations, water, torches, flares, emergency rockets, first aid kit. There is also a motorized zodiak. The catamaran has 5 entry and exit points. Two at the stern (rear), one on each side (port and starboard) and one at the bow (forward). Life jackets are available to everyone in an emergency. The bar area is shaded. The seats are covered by a cushion and are very comfortable. The very spacious deck, made of wood and a net, provide total comfort for sunbathing. MAXICAT has 2 showers, 1 cabin and toilets.
